CARD MAKING: To A Man Who's One Of A Kind

I made a very similar card like this for my Boss for his birthday in February earlier this year but forgot to take a picture of it.  So decided to re-make a replica so I don't forget the design.  It's pretty easy to make and achieves the same effect as the shirt origami card I have seen on Youtube.  It is so difficult to design male cards and this I think does the trick for any ocassion.

Tools & Products:
Cardstock: Black, White and Blue
Specialty Paper: Sorry can't remember the brand but any black and white designer paper will do & blue.
Embossing Folder: Swiss Dots (Love this one)
Embossing Tool: Cuttlebug
Stamps: None!  I printed the sentiments on my PC using MS Word Doc!

CARD MAKING: You'll Always Be My Friend, You Know Too Much

I made this card for my friend Kate for her birthday last July 2011.  I had so much fun making it. It's cheeky, the sentiment truly reflects our friendship and I chose the colour purple as for some reason, (not because it's her favourite colour) I somehow associate her with purple.  Maybe because she looks great in deep vibrant colours.  The black cardstock between the purple and the white also compliments the overall look and feel of the card.

Tools & Products:
Cardstock: Purple, White and Black
Die: Spellbinders Nestabilities Petite Oval and Petite Scallop Oval & Square
Embossing Folder: Swiss Dots
Embossing Tool: Cuttlebug
Stamps: Papermania (I think?  I need to get better at remembering the brands)

CARD MAKING: Place Cards - Final Version

I tuned out blogging for a while but realised, I had to find a way to retain a record of all the cards I have created.  Otherwise, I couldn't part with them!  So I took a photo of all of them and am now going to progressively put them into good use!

Let's start with the final version of the place cards my cousin decided to go with for their wedding last June 2011.  Personally I thought it was too plain.  But that's what she liked. The plain classic look.  I must admit, it does ooze with elegance!

I've used pearlised card stock in both bronze and ivory (can't remember the brand) offset by a dark brown luxury designer paper by Paperchic (Cristina Re).  The brown ribbon was from Spotlight which I already had and coincidentally matched. I had a lot of offcuts which I could've easily used for her bonbons but she had other plans for that. Oh well... I'm sure I'll find some other purpose for those.

CARD MAKING: Place Cards

Stayed up late last night doing these place cards.  The inspiration came from a wedding invitation made for my cuz (invitation pictured at the back) but I used Cristina Re transluscent and designer paper.

CARD MAKING: Thank You

I have made a lot of cards to date and this is the first of many more to come.  I made this card to join a sketch competition through StampTV.com (love that site).

I cannot even remember the paper I used but I just loved the combination of red and black.  They're both very strong colours but seem to come together well in this artwork!  The stamp is from Kaszazz.

BLOGGING: A Whole New World!

Finally, I have succumbed to the world of blogging.

I have created this site mainly to share some of my ideas and best finds in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking, shopping and cooking.  My hubby convinced me that since I am so obsessed with my scrapbooking and bargain hunting, I should share my best finds with the rest of the scrapbooking community.

Largely my blogs will be focussed on the Australian market but if I happen to find some overseas bargains I will share them too.

So stay tuned!
